Jannon Lampley served as an assistant coach at Purdue from 2003-2006; and was a four-year letter winner at Purdue University. During her time as an assistant coach, Lampley made a quick impact on the Purdue program, helping it to a 29-4 season in 2003-04. The Boilermakers won the Big Ten Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16. In 2004-05 Lampley helped coach Purdue to another double-figure-win season, as well as an upper-division Big Ten finish and NCAA Tournament appearance.

Jannon was responsible for skill development with perimeter players.  Her knowledge and experience helped players earn accolades for their performance including the All-Freshman team, First & Second Team All-Big Ten Conference, Kodak All-American, and The Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award Winner.  Several of the wing players went on to play professional basketball in the WNBA and overseas.

Lampley enjoyed great success as a Purdue player, posting a four-year record of 90-35 (53-13 Big Ten). During her career, Lampley was a member of three Big Ten champion teams and was an NCAA Women's Final Four participant in Richmond, Va., scoring 14 points in 32 minutes off the bench in Purdue's semifinal loss to eventual national champion North Carolina. Lampley played in one NCAA Final Four, two Elite Eights, and one Sweet-Sixteen.

After completing her collegiate eligibility, Lampley played professionally for the Columbus Quest and the New England Blizzard of the ABL, the Orlando Miracle of the WNBA, Waiti in Bordeaux, France, and in Lugo, Spain.

Lampley is a native of Urbana, Ohio. As a senior at Urbana High School, Lampley played in 109 of 112 possible games; and finished high school with a win-loss record of 100-9. She earned All-American honors from USA Today and Parade magazine. The two-time state champion, who ranked as one of the top 10 players in the nation by Blue Star Index, was named the 1993 Gatorade Ohio Player of the Year, Division II Player of the Year
